본 과목은 한국어 발음의 체계와 특징을 이해함으로써 한국어 발음 교육의 내용 지식을 습득하는 것이 목적이다. 한국어 자모의 발음, 억양, 음절 구조의 특징, 한국어의 다양한 음운 현상 등에 대해 이해하고, 외국어로서의 한국어 발음 교육의 원리 및 교육 자료 구성, 교육 방법 등을 살펴봄으로써 한국어 발음 교육을 위한 전문적인 지식과 실제적인 교수 능력을 갖출 수 있도록 한다.

The objective of this course is to acquire knowledge about Korean pronunciation education through understanding its structure and characteristics. By understanding pronunciation of Korean consonant and vowel, characteristics of accent and syllable structure, various phonetic changes in Korean, and also examining principles, contents organization, and methods of Korean pronunciation education as foreign language, the course provides professional knowledge and practical teaching ability for Korean pronunciation education.
