고대에서 고려시대까지 제작되어 오늘날 전하는 국문 고전시가 작품을 주 대상으로 한다. 구체적으로 신라, 통일신라, 고려 전기까지의 향가 및 기타 시가, 고려 후기에 주로 제작된 속악가사(이른바 고려가요) 및 경기체가 작품을 갈래별로 전반적인 특징과 성격, 형식과 율격, 개별작품의 문학성과 작품세계, 향유 계층 등을 관련 논문에 나타난 연구성과의 정리를 통해 고찰하는 것이다. 아울러 국문으로 된 노랫말이 전하지 않고 한역되어 전하는 작품과 노랫말은 전하지 않으나 작품 명이나 창작 배경이 소개된 자료를 검토하는 과목이다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course will deal with remaining pieces of Korean classical poetry from ancient times to the Koryeo dynasty. In detail, students will study folk songs and poetry in Sil-la, Unified Sil-la, the early Koryeo dynasties, Sokakgasa(속악가사: aka Koryeo folk-song) and Kyunggichega(경기체가) in the late Koreyo dynasty through looking at general characteristics and features, structure and meter, literary value of each work in class as shown in related research papers. An additional goal of this course is to review the materials with name and background, but no lyrics, and those with lyrics in Chinese.
