다양한 형태의 대규모 공간자료를 효과적으로 입력, 처리, 분석하여 합리적인 공간적 의사결정을 지원하는 공간정보학의 주요 이론을 습득하고, 실습을 통해 공간정보 시스템을 이해하는 교과목이다. 구체적으로 공간정보를 컴퓨터 데이터베이스로 입력하여 공간 데이터베이스를 구축하는 방법과 공간자료 모형, 지도대수기능 등 공간정보의 이론과 실습을 겸비하여 활용하는 능력을 배양한다.

This course aims to understand a theory of spatial information for the spatial decision-making processes and to become proficient at the process of capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying a spatial information by practices. Students are expected to learn the methods of constructing spatial databases as well as the principles and techniques of processing spatial information.
