자카드 직물은 자카드 직기에서 제직되는 것으로, 경사와 위사가 자유롭게 엮어져 사실적이고 복잡한 무늬의 디자인도 제직으로 가능하다. 이러한 제직과정에 수반되는 문양디자인을 다양하게 실습하여 창의적이고 예술적인 자카드직물 디자인을 위한 기초 훈련을 한다. 개발된 다양한 문양에 직물조직을 첨가함으로서 새로운 직물표면을 구성하는 방법을 학습하고, 아울러 제직 상에 야기되는 문제점을 파악하고 이를 해결하는 능력을 배양하여 자카드 직물디자인에 관계된 다양한 기술적 훈련에 중점을 둔다.
교과목해설(영문)
Jacquard textile is made up Jacquard machine which weaved warp and weft freely that can weave realistic and complicated design. In Jacquard DesignⅠ, we can practice for pattern design clearly that it aim at basic training for creative and artistic Jacquard textile Design as followed practical courses. It is already presented as adding for a various pattern in Jacquard Design that we can study for the structure of new textile-surface although problems weaving-textile come out, you can understand the problems and practice the technical training to solve it.
